Squad heads to Costa Rica for U-17 Women’s World Cup

The final roster is set, as 21 players have been named to Canada’s U-17 Women’s World Cup squad.

Two players on the team have senior experience, as defender Sura Yekka and midfielder Jessie Fleming both earned their first caps in 2013. Fleming will also serve as the U-17’s captain.

The team opens competition against Germany on March 15th. They’ll face Korea DPR on March 18th and will wrap up their group play on March 22nd versus Ghana.
